IFA most important showcase for trends and innovations

…says Matthias Ginthum, Chief Markets Officer at BSH Hausgeräte GmbH

While the COVID-19 pandemic bites deep globally, disrupting family, social lives and governance, the Chief Markets Officer of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, Matthias Ginthum, has described the IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited, which is set to host a special edition this September, as the most important showcase for trends and innovation for the home appliance and consumer electronics industries.

BSH Hausgeräte GmbH is noted to be one of the world’s leaders in the home appliances industry. The company has keyed in, and looks forward to use the IFA 2020 Special Edition, taking place September 3-5, 2020 in Berlin, to also present its innovations to an international audience of media representatives at the IFA Global Press Conference as part of the IFA 2020 Special Edition.

“The world economy has been badly hit by the pandemic. The current developments give hope that our home appliance industry will recover somewhat faster than other industries.

“It is therefore all the more important now to work together to offer consumers attractive incentives. IFA is and will remain the most important showcase for trends and innovations,” he stated.

According to him, as the market leader, GSH Hausgeräte GmbH is “taking advantage of the alternative concept of IFA 2020 and will present new answers and solutions for every consumer need with our equipment and digital services at the IFA Global Press Conference on September 3.

“Because more than ever, the home is the centre of our lives. Home appliances are an important part of everyday life and directly represent quality of life.”

BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, a Bosch Group company, represents a brand portfolio encompassing eleven appliance brands including Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau and Neff as well as the ecosystem brand Home Connect and service brands like Kitchen Stories.

While these event elements are aimed at trade visitors, media representatives can exclusively experience the latest products and services, press briefings and IFA keynotes live at the IFA Global Press Conference.

Health and safety is a top priority at IFA 2020 Special Edition, which will take place from 3 to 5 September 2020 as a three-day event with a limited number of participants in accordance with current regulations.

Digital IFA Experience

With a virtual extension – the “IFA Xtended Space” – the physical event is complemented by live and on demand streaming of presentations, match-making tools and digital product demonstrations. The Xtended Space thereby is accessible for both on-site guests and all other interested participants around the globe.

How to participate at IFA 2020 Special Edition

The organisers of IFA 2020 Special Edition, Messe Berlin, said to participate in the IFA 2020 Special Edition, “registration in advance is necessary.” Additionally, registered participants will also receive access to the IFA 2020 Xtended Space, the digital extension of the IFA 2020 Special Edition.
