Alex Okosi, Africa’s boss for ViacomCBS, has been appointed YouTube’s Managing Director of Emerging Markets for Europe, Middle East and Africa and is set to leave VCN by the end of February 2020.

This move was a result of top executive schanges that resulted in the promotions of Monde Twala and Craig Peterson as Co-managers for Africa.

Okosi said in a statement that YouTube is a game changing platform that plays an excellent role in people’s lives through the delivery of dynamic content and innovation, so he is elated to be joining the YouTube team and would do everything within his power to empower and elevate value for viewers and partners across the region.

He markets in the EMEA region and is set to locate to London where he will be reporting to the head of YouTube for EMEA, Cecile Frot Cortez.
