Huawei P8 smartphone launches in Nigeria today

After a successful launch in Asia, America, Europe and South Africa, the sensational award winning Huawei P8 smartphone is being launched in Lagos, Nigeria, Africa’s largest market, today, August 20.

The Huawei P8 was only recently chosen as the best consumer smartphone at the annual European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) awards among many categories and sub-categories under mobile devices. As it turned out, the Huawei P8 was voted as the best consumer smartphone for this year.

Based on the EISA listing, the Huawei P8 was voted by the editors of the participating publications from across the globe as the all-round winner under the category of best product for consumer smartphone. The Huawei P8 comes with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display and 1,080 x 1,920 pixels resolution. This smartphone is available in four hues namely mystic champagne, carbon black, prestige gold and titanium gray.

Under the hood, the P8 comes powered by Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 930/935 SoC, and backed by a solid 3 GB of RAM. On the software front, the device is run by Android 5.0 Lollipop OS along with Emotion UI 3.1. Moreover, the device comes equipped with 16 GB or 64 GB of built-in storage choices and supports microSD card slot for further expansion of up to 128 GB.

When it comes to camera configuration, the Huawei P8 features a 13-megapixel rear-facing sensor with OIS support on board. To top it off, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper unit for selfies. Lastly, the entire configuration is held together and powered by a Li-Po 2,680 mAh non-removable battery unit.
