Microview, Ubiquiti in partnership

The days of poor performance in networking in Nigeria due to absence of high profile networking technologies are over as one of Nigeria’s leading Information Technology solutions provider, Microview Nigeria Limited, is partnering with Ubiquiti Networks, a company that specialises in developing high-performance wireless networking technology for service providers and enterprises to deliver best in service solutions for the Nigerian and the entire West African market.

Microview as the sole master distributor of the Ubiquiti Networks’ products in Nigeria and West Africa, will, with this partnership be delivering the company’s wireless backhaul products such as airFiber, airMAX, EdgeMAX, Unifi Video, Unifi VoIP, mFi and Switches.

Speaking on the partnership, Microview’s Managing Director, Engr. Henry Ezeamanso, said with the availability of these crucial wireless connectivity products in Nigeria through Microview, Nigerian telcos, ISPs and IT engineers who have been going abroad to get the products or ordering them from abroad will be saving a lot of costs by buying the products here in Nigeria.

Besides, buying from Microview, he said will avail them the opportunity of getting after sales support and the company’s engineers can also advise buyers on the best choice of device to use for specific connections.

“They will get the same quality here because it is not manufactured here and in case there is a fault with whatever they have bought, it is easier for us to make a replacement; but if you buy a product from abroad and it doesn’t fit into what you want to use it for or if there is any fault, getting a replacement will definitely not be easy,” Engr. Ezeamanso stated.

According to him, the Ubiquiti Networks products being sold by Microview to telcos and ISPs have been type-approved by the industry regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). “Ubiquiti products are already type-approved by NCC and one thing about the products is that the prices are very affordable and we don’t compromise quality—that is the special thing about the products” he said.

On why Ubiquity products are now important to Nigeria, Ezeamanso noted that “most people are now deploying smart home, smart phone; everything is going smart and you cannot achieve this without wireless devices, so these products will enable you to achieve wireless connectivity between branch to branch office, home to office and so many other connections that you may require. You can have an office here and you can have your base station which is connected on your server where you store your information and you can access it from any part of the world with the ability of inter-connection, using wireless devices”.

He added that to make deployments of these products easy for customers, Ubiquiti certified Microview’s in-house engineers are always on standby to assist customers in the kind of products they would need to deploy in any area of their project. Another great advantage of buying from Microview, according to the MD, is the fact that the company also offers credit opportunity to worthy customers.

“Depending on the class of the company, we provide a kind of soft credit; depending on how viable the company is, which ordinarily you cannot get by buying direct. We can check the company and see whether we can assist. At times also, we advise customers on the kind of product they can deploy, once we know the circumstances in which they want to use the product; we do that without any charges.”

In addition, Microview also organises Ubiquiti Networks certification training every quarter at reduced cost in Nigeria. This is to help the trainee save flight and travel expenses, which they would have incurred if they were to go abroad for the certification training.

For easy access, Microview has branches across the country including Abuja, with three branches in Lagos, including the head office, which also services other countries in the West African sub-region.

Microview Nigeria Limited was founded January, 1995, as a Limited Liability Company. It provides Information Technology products to the reach of Nigerians and beyond. Aside Ubiquiti Networks, Microview also distributes other wire and wireless connectivity devices of all Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across the globe.
